🚧 Notice: Road Work - 10th Street 🚧

Please be advised that road work on 10th Street between Highwood Ave and Grand Ave will begin today (Tuesday, September 29) at 9:00 a.m.

The planned work includes removing the existing pavement, re-gravelling the roadway and improving drainage.

If all goes as planned, the road is expected to reopen by the end of the day Tuesday. However, work will continue throughout the week, and temporary road closures may be required at various times as work progresses.

We ask you to use caution, obey any posted signage and plan for possible alternative routes.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our roadways and drainage.

♻️ PARKS & REC BOTTLE SHED IS MOVING! ♻️

Did you know that collecting refundable bottles and cans is one of Buena Vista Parks & Recreation Board’s biggest fundraisers? Every bottle and can donated helps support our community!

The bottle shed, previously located at the Village Shop Yard, is currently being relocated to the Village Office.

This move is necessary as the Shop Yard gates will soon be closed and locked to limit public access and reduce liability associated with people entering and exiting the yard.

🚨 PLEASE HOLD OFF ON DROP-OFFS THIS WEEKEND!

The bottle shed is in the process of being moved and is expected to be ready for donations early next week. If you were planning to drop off your bottles and cans this weekend, we kindly ask that you hang on to them for just a few more days.

We appreciate your patience during the move and your continued support of Parks & Rec!

 🚦NEW 3-WAY STOP NOW IN PLACE 🚦

The new 3-way STOP in front of the Village Office on Grand Avenue is now in place!

This intersection has changed from a 2-way Stop to a 3-way Stop. It is an important and very busy intersection, and unfortunately, far too many vehicles travel through without stopping, creating potentially dangerous situations.

The hope is that this change will help improve safety at the intersection and, most importantly, that everyone will slow down, stop at the signs, and take the time to look before proceeding.

Let's all do our part to keep our streets safe. 🛑

📢The Ministry of Environment has approved changes to recycling in the Province of Saskatchewan. ♻️

These changes will come into effect for the Village of Buena Vista residents on September 1, 2026. We encourage residents to read the attached material and visit the links in preparation for the changes coming. We will continue to send information as it is presented and will keep you informed as we approach the effective date.
